“When the moment comes / and you step across / the threshold / You will find / That time itself / will vanish.

All that sifting of years / And the tears / Through which / you longed and ached / Will lift / as if placed there / by mistake / And the path / you dreamt to take / Will finally stretch out before you.

It will feel strange / For you will not be the same / And yet / you will appear unchanged / As if the world / will never witness / What you have born / And known / And now become.

And the drum / Of your heart / will beat / As you stand / on the threshold / On that point of not return / In the doorway to / every dream you ever held / At the deathbed / of every fear you ever felt. / And you will rise / As a part of you dies / And the rest of you surrenders / To a destiny / you built / Long, / long before you came here.”
