“Like a dream / she moved, / Barefoot and shimmering, / among yellow mustard / and sweet honeysuckle, / softly kissed by sunlight, / Pulled by delight / And tuned / To the scent of summer lavender.

Hard days couldn’t rest / Any longer / In her golden hair - / caressed by sun / And the gentle promise of tomorrow.

And so, / Untouched / by sorrow or sadness, / Among petals and promises / She walked, / Lazily dreaming / Of peonies and afternoon tea, / Forever forgetting what might have been, / swept up / in that / Sweet escape, / That golden moment, / That song reminding us / That we are more / Than what we have accomplished / And even starlight / cannot outshine / The light of one who knows / The magic of / her brilliance.”
